Information about JG Marine and the Support Services They Offer
JG Marine Services Ltd have been trading for over 25 years under the ownership of Justin Green. We specialise in surveys of steel and iron narrowboats, LPG system inspections as well as offering a consultancy service.
We also carry out annual gas testing and maintenance of yachts for several sailing schools in Gibraltar.
Synopsis
From a young age, Justin could be found in his Dad's shed taking things apart and rebuilding them, not always successfully! This was the start of a lifelong passion for fixing things and finding out how they work. His Dad had worked on canal boats in his younger days before moving into the motor trade as a mechanic and Justin started his working life following his Dad into the motor trade before moving on to boats. He moved into the marine market after seeing a need for a skilled engineer, 15 years of seeing how boats are built and repaired gave him a good grounding in becoming a surveyor.
Qualifications:
Diploma in Small Craft Surveying
Full Member of the Yacht Designers and Surveyors Association (YDSA)
Accredited Member of the Association of Brokers and Yacht Agents (ABYA)
Boat Safety Scheme Examiner since 2013
Member of the British Marine Federation
Gas Safe Registered for LPG on Boats
Professional Marine Engineer since 1995
Professional Marine Surveyor since 2009
City & Guilds Motor Vehicle Studies
We offer the following services:
- Hull condition, insurance, damage and valuation surveys. Pre-purchase surveys.
- Marine consultancy.
- Inspection, Certification and repair of LPG gas systems.
- Landlord gas certificates.
