I found Justin on the YDSA list of accredited surveyors and  found praise of his work on some threads online. He carried out a full  pre-purchase survey for me (internal and out of water) of my 60ft  Narrowboat.

My  experience has been in line with others and I cannot recommend his work  highly enough. Not only was he easy to correspond with via email  initially to book in the survey, he was always prompt with his replies.  He spoke with me at length about his findings on the day of the survey,  and was quick to provide written feedback over the Easter weekend when  the survey took place on Good Friday. I thought this was above and  beyond and would have more than understood if he had wanted to wait  until the following week. 

My  sale was not an easy one for various reasons and Justin was able to  offer sound and logical advice to do with paperwork. Since the handover  we have used Justin's findings as a blueprint for the work I have had to  get done and quite a few of the engineers have commented on the clarity  of the survey. It also informed an initial appropriate reduction in  price of the boat which we were able to quantify clearly based on  Justin's findings for which we were grateful, and meant we entered the  sale with eyes wide open. 

Throughout  the entire process I found him to be professional, friendly, punctual  and incredibly knowledgeable. I would not hesitate in recommending him  to anyone looking to carry out a survey on a Narrowboat in the future.

Just to thank you for having guided us through the survey process  with Juniper so professionally and for having made the whole process so  straight forward.

As complete boating novices we needed someone that we could rely  on, to ask the questions that we would never have thought of asking and  to provide us with a detailed, extremely thorough report, which was at  the same time jargon free and easy to understand.
